Getting here

If you’re flying

Bordeaux Airport is 100 km away [60 mins by motorway] and Bergerac is 70 km away but takes about the same time to drive as there’s no motorway.

Bordeaux airport to Cachette Anglaise
Motorway junction 5 to Cachette Anglaise

If you’re driving

From the ferry ports of Caen or Dieppe the journey is approximately 6-7 hours of driving, not including stops, and longer from Calais. The motorways are generally in good condition but can get crowded at the tolls and on summer holiday weekends.

Local Directions

Our location is VERY rural [and there are limited street signs and virtually no street lights!] so although we are only 10 minutes from junction 5 of the A62/E72 Autoroute des Deux Mers motorway, you need to be sure of the directions.
We are situated 2 km north of Guerin and 4km west of Samazan on the C1 road. There’s a document here with directions from the motorway and a local map that you can print and bring. How to find us

How to find us

Leave the Autoroute des Deux Mers at junction 5.
At the roundabout, go left onto the D933 towards Casteljaloux.
At the next roundabout, go right onto the D289 towards Samazan.
Follow this road [there are several sharp bends and a couple of right hand turns] for 4.7 km [3 miles] until you see a road on the left signposted Guerin.
Take this road and follow it for 1km.
We are on the right, just after a house which usually has lorries parked in the front and just before the next T junction and the hamlet of Laudet.
There is ample parking space at the side of the house – just watch out for the plant pots if you arrive after dark!
